Cold-pressed avocado oil
ACTIVE MARKET - SATURATEDExtra-virgin oil pressed in East Africa rather than shipped abroad as raw fruit — the pressing margin stays here. A maturing category where margins are thinning.
Avocado processing · East Africa
Aske brings agricultural processing home to East Africa — and the margin home to the women who grow it.

What we do
The continent grows some of the most valuable agricultural inputs in the world, and then exports them raw. Aske builds the processing step that is missing — close to the farms, owned locally, and run to export standard.

Individually quick-frozen avocado chunks, processed within hours of harvest. The texture and colour of fresh fruit, locked in and export-ready.
High-pressure-processed guacamole that keeps its bright green colour and freshness for weeks, not days — a ready-to-eat product for retail and food service buyers.

Our impact
Every step we move onshore is income that stays with the growers — most of them women — and with the towns around the orchards.
$4–5/kg
Processing margin that leaves the continent
Raw seed and fruit sell for a fraction of what the pressed and extracted product earns abroad. That gap is the whole opportunity.
Women invest $0.85
compared to $0.35 invested by men for every dollar earned into healthcare and education.
Women direct money earned back into their households and communities — far more than men. Keeping income with women growers multiplies the impact.
Stable Jobs
Capital retained through processing rebuilds communities through economic empowerment.
A plant brings steady jobs, cold chain, power and skills to the community around the orchards — the kind of transformation raw exports never deliver.
